The Hobhouse Animal Trust was founded in 1985 It’s objectives are as follows:
The principal concern of the Charitable Trust shall be with cats and dogs rather than other animals. The care and protection of cats and dogs and other animals in the United Kingdom who are in need of care and attention by reason of their sickness, maltreatment, neglect or poor circumstances in particular by sheltering, tending and caring for and training them to live as domestic animals and to find caring homes for them.
In carrying out the above Charitable Objectives:
So far as reasonably practicable no animal shall be destroyed except in case of serious illness or injury or where the animal cannot reasonably be made fit to live as a domestic animal and so as not to present any unreasonable risk in a domestic situation to humans or to other animals
During the past ten years we have made grants to over sixty smaller charities, typically disbursing about £100,000 a year. Many animals have therefore been saved and re-homed as a result of our activities. While we are not actively fundraising we are always pleased to receive donations. Our money is likely to run down in the next three years but given this time frame if you would like to make a donation or leave a legacy to help extend our longevity do please get in touch using the “contact us” link on this website and we will provide you with further information
